It all started one blustery winter afternoon on Cape Cod, when our family who lives here year-around, noticed the shutters rattling on a neighbor’s summer home down the street. They lived states away, and every winter we’d keep an eye on the place—making sure the pipes didn’t freeze, the driveway stayed clear, and that the seagulls hadn’t claimed it as their own. One day, after rescuing a wayward patio chair from rolling down the road, we joked, “We should really start charging for this!” That simple comment turned into a family brainstorm —complete with coffee, notepads, and business plans.

We realized something important: there were hundreds of families just like our neighbors who loved their Cape homes but couldn’t always be here to care for them. And who better to trust than a local family who knows the tides, the weather, and the quirks of Cape homes? So, we turned our knack for looking out for others into a full-fledged Home Watch service, built on family values, local know-how, and genuine care for the homes and properties that make Cape Cod so special.
